Ministers will “ensure effective energy market operation and cross-border energy trading” after Brexit, an MP was told.

The pledge was given by the energy minister Richard Harrington in a written reply to Drew Hendry, SNP member for Inverness, who had asked about the effect on the energy sector of an exit without a trade agreement.
